Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho on Monday struck a conciliatory tone when responding to the criticism from the Opposition over the government's decision and in-decision on the question of introducing app-based taxi operations in the State saying he is not interested in taking a decision on his own but would want to take all MLAs especially those representing coastal constituencies in the decision-making on the issue.
He said, the government has only issued a 'draft notification' and no final decision has been taken as yet on the question of introducing app-based taxi aggregators in the State.
"I don't want to take any decision on my own. I will take all MLAs on board and take a collective decision," Godinho said.
Godinho said, all measures for road safety are being taken and nearly 80 per cent of the black spots identified have been rectified.
He said in most cases the accidents are caused due to rash and negligent driving and measures are being taken to control that too, with more alcometers being procured to check drunken driving.
