Claiming there have been 30 cases of sale deeds using fake documents, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte on Thursday said the State government should have conducted an investigation through the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
“There are 18 cases of sale deeds using fake documents in South and 12 such cases in North. Properties of Goans who are staying outside Goa have been fraudulently transferred to others. By now, the government should have conducted an investigation through the SIT and should have arrested the accused,” said Khaunte while raising the issue in the assembly.
Khaunte informed the House that a tainted joint mamlatdar had been transferred to another taluka and had passed orders without even a hearing.
