Congress MLA Reginaldo Lourenco has requested Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to conduct the remaining SSC classes and other educational classes in online mode with Goa witnessing a surge of second Covid wave.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, the Curtorim MLA said it would be pertinent to conduct SSC exams and other educational exams too in online mode considering the State government’s Education department instructions to the higher secondary schools and junior colleges to hold examinations in online mode for Classes 9 and 11.
“Due to spike in cases of Coronavirus I would request to even learn from other parts of India on ways to combat with the surge in the pandemic. It would be beneficial to take a leaf out from the order issued by the Department if Revenue and Forest, Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation, Government of Maharashtra. The said order explains how to break the chain order of the 2nd surge of Covid-19”, he added in the letter.
