MP native nabbed with ganja worth Rs 80,000

The Calangute police on Thursday arrested a Madhya Pradesh native for allegedly possessing drugs, valued at Rs 80,000. 

According to the media statement, the 23-year-old youth identified as Deepend Singh was caught red-handed in illegal possession of narcotics that was ganja weighing 820 gms.

“We received credible information that one male person will come to deliver narcotic drugs to his prospective customers and is likely to leave the place after disposing of the said contraband. Accordingly, a raid was conducted in the presence of panchas and the drugs were seized,” it said.

The accused has been remanded to police custody as he will undergo interrogation to know the source of the drugs.
