Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday raided a hotel room at Morjim and arrested one Uttrakhand native with charas worth Rs 6 lakh.
The ANC team led by PSI Pritesh Madgaonkar conducted the narcotic raid at Room No 102 at Maurya Regency Hotel, Rasalwada in Morjim and caught accused namely Binod Goswami (31), a native of Dehradun, Uttarakhand for being found in illegal possession of 1.2 kg of charas approximately worth Rs 6 lakh in the international market.
The accused has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and the suspected drugs have been seized. Further investigation into the case is in progress under PSI Rohan Madgaonkar.
