MAPUSA
North Goa Congress President Vijay Bhike on Thursday said there was no need for Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo to get involved in Congress.
"If Lobo is truly a people's representative, he should talk after resigning from his post. Lobo is presently a BJP leader and there is no need for him to get involved in Congress," said Bhike.
Bhike also hit out at some Congress leaders who were supporting Lobo and said the Mapusa Block Congress would submit a written complaint to the Congress party, to demand action against those leaders.
Incidentally, there was unhappiness within the Porvorim Block Congress, following Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte’s plans to join the Congress party. Former Porvorim Block Congress president Adv. Shankar Fadte, Wilbur Ticlo and 11 others have resigned as primary members of the party.
