"We have three women legislators who have been elected during the recent legislative assembly election but not a single lady has been given a ministry," says Congress leader Bina Naik.
Poriem MLA Deviya Rane and Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserratte have been elected on BJP ticket while Delilah Lobo who is a Congress MLA is in the opposition.
Jennifer Monserratte was a minister in the earlier government however this time her husband Atanasio Monserratte has been given the ministry.
Deviya Rane is a first time MLA, however her husband Vishwajit Rane is also a minister.
Congress leader Bina Naik has said that BJP only uses women during elections however they never give importance to women when it comes to ministry formation.
However the BJP has said that as the MLAs' husbands have been given the ministry, by policy no two persons from the same family can be given ministries.
