Reiterating 'Swayampurna Goem' will be a reality very soon, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant called on women to register with the respective local bodies (Panchayat's) under MNREGA, and it will be the responsibility of the government to provide job for a minimum of 10 days in a month to them.
"We had already planned and decided 10 days of work and though it my be different and in various forms, whoever have registered their names under MNREGA with the panchayats will be given the jobs. I request all women to register their names under MNREGA with the panchayat."
"Canconkarank bhivpachi gharaz na as anything and everything will be done by the government to do development as well as employment. In the next five years not only infrastructure, but also human development will be done in a subtle manner.
"I assure to provide mobile tower within 3 months period, and resolve your network issue, which has hampered children studies in the last 2 and half years. Besides, any government project on any government (revenue) land will be done without any hassles, such NOCs will be issued within 8 days period to the concerned department. In other works such as Electricity, Water-supply and Roads, there won't be any need for NOC, since it will be between department and department. Instructions are being issued to obtain approvals departmentally without wasting much time, and there won't be any issues for land utilisations."
Sawant also declared that the government has decided to allot land on which your house is built to register it on the house- owner's name.
Earlier, speaking on the occasion Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar made a vehement appeal to the chief minister to resolve the network connectivity issue in Khotigao by persuading any service provider to set up a tower. "The service provider may not make profit, but it will help the villagers especially students community who have suffered due to network problem for the last 2 and half years," he said.
The Speaker further stated that double-engine government will ensure no hurdles but sought Chief Minister's intervention to resolve the land issues such as Kumeri and residential houses, as people mostly residing in revenue lands are facing various problems, besides helping realise people's aspirations to increase all types of farming output.
Tawadkar also said he will ensure building of both houses, for which foundation stone was laid at the hands of Chief Minister at Mhal- Baddem (Khotigao) and Ziltawadi (Gaondongrim), in a month's time.
