Noted Goan classical singer Kelekar succumbs to Covid

Noted classical singer from Goa, Balakrishna Kelekar, 68, passed away due to covid 19 on Tuesday. Survived by wife and son, the late Kelekar, a recipient Goa State Cultural award, had participated in popular musical concerts across Goa. He was known for his expertise in Bhakti sangeet and Abhang gayan. Kelekar was the founder of Abhijaat Sangeet Mandal and shouldered the responsibility of this music school as its principal, too.

336 get vaccinated in Canacona

CANACONAAs many as 336 people received their first dose of the Covid vaccine at the three Tika Utsav drives in Agonda and Khola on Wednesday.According to sources, the second leg of Tika Utsav was held at Government High School, Agonda where 162 people above 45 years were vaccinated.
