The Fatorda police has arrested one person in connection with the burning of the car of the Principal of a Higher Secondary school.
Fatorda police station in-charge, Police Inspector Kapil Nayak informed that the person was named as a suspect by the Principal in the case. “The police has arrested the suspect based on the information given by the complainant in the case,” he said.
It may be noted that the car parked at the principal’s residence at Ambaji-Fatorda was set afire by miscreants with some explosive substance in the wee hours of February 20.
While the suspect had vehemently denied his involvement in the case, Police Inspector Kapil said the police are gathering further evidence in the matter. “We have approached the owners of business and other residential houses to make available their CCTV footage as part of the investigations,” PI Kapil added.
