The Mapusa police made another arrest on Saturday in the Mapusa parking assault case.
SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi informed the media that one Avinash Lingnar Kolkar, aged 30 years and resident of Porvorim, has been arrested for the offence registered under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 354 (assaults or use of criminal force to any woman, intending to outrage her modesty), 509 (uttering any word or making any gesture intended to insult the modesty of a woman, etc.), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 427 (mischief, and thereby causing damage to the amount of 50 rupees or upwards), 506(ii) (criminal intimidation) read with 34 (common intention) of IPC.
On Friday, the police made the first arrest wherein Ravi Ramesh Talwar was booked for the same offence and remanded to two days police custody. A candolim local, Dominic Leitao, had complained to the police that he was assaulted by the parking staff.
