Three members of an alleged car stereo lifting gang were on Sunday nabbed by the Panaji police a day after a spate of such robberies in Mapusa were reported.
According to the police, the trio -- Juber, Jaganath and Pradeep -- used to target high-end LED car stereo systems and are reportedly involved in 17 such thefts over the last three days.
Stolen goods worth a total of Rs 15-lakh have been recovered at their instance, police said.
Investigations to ascertain their involvement in other crimes are underway as the three men are in the custody of the Mapusa and Panaji police.
North Goa Superintendent of Police, Shobit Saxena, IPS, patted his men from Panaji police station for the quick breakthrough.
“There is nothing better than instant redressal. In yet another inter-state ops, North #goapolice caught up with a gang escaping after committing as many as 17 thefts in 3 days.
