The Konkan Railway police has arrested a native of Pune for allegedly stealing an iPhone 14 of a passenger from Kerala while traveling on the Kochuveli express train.
The complainant Jibin T, a student aged 22 yrs, native of Kannur, Kerala, had stated in his complaint that on August 16 at about 23.15 hrs while he was travelling in Coach no. B2, 3AC, Berth no.07, of Kochuveli SF express train no. 22659, accused person namely Prathamesh Kothmire, age 29 years, resident of Pune, committed theft of his i-phone 14 mobile phone having SIM card bearing No. 7994539980 worth Rs 56,000. The incident occurred when the complainant was sleeping on his seat.
Accused Prathamesh has been arrested in the crime and four stolen mobile phones were found in his possession without sim cards. Accused has been remanded to five days Police custody.
