As Chief Minister Pramod Sawant went about including Cuncolim Sociedade land under the Mhaje Ghar scheme, triggering a row of sorts, revenue officials were tight lipped over the government’s move.
For, a revenue official pointed out that the Sociedade land is neither government or comunidade land, as they wondered how would the government go about regularization and giving legal status for illegal houses on the land owned by the Sociedade in Cuncolim.
One of the revenue officials pointed out that the matter pertaining to the Sociadade land is sub judice, but could not elaborate on which issue the matter is pending in the court.
