Rs 438.58 cr contributed by IOC in ’20-21 fiscal to State's exchequer

Through its network of 38 retail outlets in Goa, Indian Oil is catering to the fuel requirement of the State and in the financial year 2021-22, the company has contributed Rs 438.58 crore (Vat plus GST and Green Cess) towards the State exchequer, stated Anirban Ghosh, executive director and State head of Maharashtra and Goa State office. Speaking to media in Panaji on Friday, and giving an overview of the Indian Oil spread in the State, Ghosh informed that through its oil installations at Vasco and ZIOTL and the LPG requirement through its Belgaum Bottling Plant, and one aviation fuel station at Dabolim, the company clocked the highest market share of 38.1% in 2021-22, selling 256.4 TMT of POL products in Goa.

Goa has five Indian Oil LPG distributors and 38 retail outlets that ensure uninterrupted POL supplies to the citizens at all times, stated the executive director. In the current year, the company plans to invest Rs 6 crore on the up-gradation of supply locations and aviation fuel station. Investment in the development of new retail outlets and up-gradation of old ones planned for 2022-23 is Rs 5.50 crore, briefed Ghosh.

The company celebrated 2022 as the year of ‘Crafting A Green Future’, focussing on cleaner and greener tomorrow include solarisation of retail outlets and office buildings, the introduction of a bouquet of differentiated branded fuels/lubricants and alternate fuels etc. Continuing this journey, the company today has commissioned Xtragreen Diesel at its retail outlet at Priol in North Goa.

Available at 10 outlets in Goa, Xtragreen diesel (the new age high-performance diesel developed by in-house technology) increases the fuel economy by 5-6% and has corrosion protection. It reduces carbon dioxide emissions, carbon monoxide emissions and NOx emissions. With the addition of today’s new RO, Xtragreen is available in 10 outlets in Goa.

Available in 22 outlets across Goa, the newly launched highly efficient and advanced petrol XP95 is 95-octane petrol that offers more power, more speed, and more miles along with increasing fuel economy by 3.95%. The first company to launch 100-octane super premium petrol in India, with 2 retail outlets in Goa, this perfect fuel is for high-end premium cars to offer faster acceleration, smoother drive, and lower engine deposit along with significantly reduced emissions.
