In a tragic road accident near the Nuvem bypass, a 45-year old scooter rider died on the spot after the two-wheeler was knocked down by a car.
Maina-Curtorim police informed that the accident took place between an Activa scooter and Hyundai Verna car near Nuvem bypass junction wherein rider of the scooter, Socorro, s/o Patrick Pereira, aged-45 years, r/o Navelim died on the spot. The police said both vehicles were proceeding from Verna to Margao when the car dashed the scooter from behind. The police is investigating.
