Several trains have been cancelled and partially cancelled due to the derailment of a train and landslides that occurred in the Braganza Ghat section of the Kulem-Castle Rock section and due to water flow on the railway tracks between Londa & Alnavar of the South Western Railways.
The trains are expected to resume once the restoration work is complete, SWR officials said.
Following trains were cancelled on Friday were Vasco-Howrah Express Special (Train 08048), Vasco-Tirupati Express Special (Train 07420), Vasco“Tirupati/Hyderabad Express Special (Train 07420/07022), Yesvantpur“Vasco Express from Yesvantpur (Train 07339), Vasco“Yesvantpur Express (Train 07340) from Vasco and Vasco“Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (Train 02779) from Vasco.
Train No 02780 Hazrat Nizamuddin“Vasco Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin has been cancelled on July 25.
The trains which were partially cancelled were Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vasco (Train 02780) which commenced a journey from Hazrat Nizamuddin on July 21 was partially cancelled between Londa and Vasco.
Train 02908 Hapa“Madgaon Express dated July 21 is short terminated at Belagavi and returned Belagavi to Hapa.
The trains diverted were Hazrat Nizamuddin“Ernakulam Express (Train 02618) which was diverted via Daund, Wadi, Dharmavaram, Krishnarajapuram, Jolarpettai “A”, Erode, Shoranur onward proper route.
