The matter related to alleged illegalities in the renewal of the excise licence of ‘Silly Souls Café and Bar’ in Assagao allegedly linked to the family of Union Minister Smriti Irani will come up for adjudication before Excise Commissioner Narayan Gad on Monday.
Gad is expected to take on record activist-lawyer Aires Rodrigues' response to the written submissions of the heirs of the deceased licence holder Anthony D'Gama.
Since the last hearing of the matter, Rodrigues has now come up with more evidence obtained under RTI, including a 10-year lease of the premises at Assagao by D'Gama to a company in which Smriti's husband Zubin is a Director.
These additional details are expected to be filed by Rodrigues at Monday's hearing before the Excise Commissioner.
The Silly Souls Café & Bar has remained shut since the controversy arose in July.
Irani, who has denied any link of her family to the outlet has also sued top Congress leaders for libel before the Delhi High Court which has in the interim issued a gag order against the latter.
