Teen ends life in Porvorim

A 19-year-old girl ended her life at her residence in Alto-Betim in Porvorim on Wednesday evening.

Porvorim police said the girl, a second year B Com student, was found dead in the bathroom.

Police went to the site and sent the body for an autopsy at the Goa Medical College hospital.

Police enquiries revealed that the deceased was undergoing treatment for depression at Goa Medical College, Bambolim for the last six months.

Porvorim police have registered a case of unnatural death and Police Sub Inspector Sitaram Malik is investigating the case.
