The Goan completes eight years today, 18th June 2023. It's been an incredible journey thus far, full of challenges yet satisfying.
With a singular objective of espousing the issues of Goa and its people, The Goan has relentlessly embarked on this path and upheld its role as a sincere watchdog, informer, entertainer and unbiased advisor. We remain steadfast in providing unadulterated news to our readers without smokescreens or a toxic mix of perspectives. And while we do our job as a responsible newspaper, we firmly believe in empowering people to take crucial decisions.
The Goan has grown in leaps and bounds since its humble beginning on 18th June 2015 and is proud of its nationwide outreach and increasing global readership. We are touched by the outpouring of wishes from far and wide, and it is such a connect that motivates us to raise the bar every year.
At the outset, this year, we have introduced new ideas like BrandGoa, a concept that brings into focus the business side of Goa, and a column titled 'The Goan Xtra-Special' bringing out rare stories of courage and challenges. Spotlight, which critically analyses issues at hand, has taken a quantum leap and achieved tremendous success along with our exclusive columns Forgotten Files, Saxtti Masala and Fotashi.
On the 8th anniversary of The Goan, we would like to thank our dear readers, columnists, feature writers, advertisers, well-wishers and our content associate Free Press Journal for the unstinted support.
We remain passionate about this journey, and while we look forward to another challenging year ahead, we remain open to your feedback. In the spirit of continuous improvement, we welcome constructive input to enrich this great Goan experience further.
