TMC came to Goa to split Cong’s votes: Patkar

OLD GOA

Replying to the statement made by TMC leader Derek O’Brien that vote for the Congress is vote for the BJP, GPCC president Amit Patkar said that O’Brien should first introspect as TMC’s alliance partner is now part of the ruling BJP government.

When questioned by The Goan on O’Brien’s statement made during TMC worker’s convention at Pilar, Patkar said that during the Assembly elections, the TMC was in alliance with the MGP against the BJP.

“Today, MGP’s MLAs are part of the government. This shows that the TMC came to Goa only to split Congress’ votes and give advantage to the BJP,” Patkar alleged.

“So, O’Brien does not have any right to speak on Congress but should first question TMC’s alliance partner MGP whose MLAs are part of the BJP government,” Patkar added.
