The Old Goa police arrested a tourist from Maharashtra for a stunt on a speeding car along the Bambolim-Santa Cruz highway.
According to police, the tourist Vishal Parekar (43) from Kalyan-Maharashtra was seen in a video sitting on the top of a speeding car while travelling along the Bambolim to Santa Cruz highway road, after crossing GMC. The incident occurred on December 4 at 10 pm.
"The video was forwarded to us by the Agassaim police as the area came under our jurisdiction and we were able to track the accused person after tracking the vehicle number MH-05-FG-1009," the police said.
The stuntman, Parekar, along with the driver and another occupant were placed under arrest for driving the car in a rash and negligent manner without taking proper care and caution, thereby endangering the lives of the occupants and others. The trio were later released on bail.
