Transport department official suspended for holding oxygen tanker for non-payment of cess

An official Mandar Adpaikar working at the department of Transport was suspended on Thursday night for holding the oxygen carrying tanker for around 20 minutes at Mollem check post for non-payment of cess. The oxygen tanker carrying 13 tonne oxygen was stopped at the check post by Adpaikar for payment of cess to the tune of Rs 250 per tonne.
