A tree fell on two houses at Odxel in Siolim on Wednesday morning, causing loss of about Rs 5 lakh.
The mango tree fell on the houses of Pratibha Prabhakar Dhargalkar and Kalidas Kalangutkar, causing losses to both the houses. Dhargalkar’s loss was estimated at Rs 3 lakh and Kalangutkar’s loss was estimated at Rs 2 lakh.
A Mapusa fire tender later went to the site and cleared the tree. Sarpanch Pravin Kocharekar visited the site to take stock of the situation.
