Two die of Covid, toll reaches 727

The Covid victim count of Goa touched 727 on Wednesday with two more deaths being recorded in the mortality bulletin of the Directorate of Health Services.

The deceased persons include an 83-year-old woman from Ponda and an 82-year-old man from Vasco, both of whom expired at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.

Meanwhile, with the addition of 125 new cases of the infection, the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in the state at present stand at 50,364. Of these, while 1,000 cases are presently active, 48,637 patients have recovered. The recovery rate is 96.57 per cent.
