The Community Health Centre (CHC) at Valpoi has secured 92% score in the National Quality Assurance Standards, as defined by the Ministry for Quality Services at Government Hospitals.
In its report to the State's Health Secretary Arun Kumar Mishra dated May 20, the union health ministry stated that the Valpoi CHC, which is the only public health facility in Goa taken up for Quality Certification under NQAS programme, underwent external assessment by the empanelled external assessors on March 6-7.
The report stated that all nine departments at the Valpoi CHC met all criteria, securing an overall score of 92%.
"Hence, the CHC Valpoi is granted Quality Certified under the NQAS programme," the ministry stated.
Commending the CHC Valpoi on this achievement, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said this “outstanding accomplishment highlights the unwavering dedication of CHC Valpoi in providing top-notch healthcare services to citizens.”
“It reflects our collective commitment to ensuring quality, safety and excellence in healthcare delivery across Goa. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire team at CHC Valpoi for their tireless efforts and commitment to raising the bar in healthcare standards.”
