Wall collapse disrupts Ganesh idol preparations at Mardol home

In Gauthan Veling-Mardol, the mud wall of Krishna Naik's house collapsed around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, following several days of heavy rain. The incident caused an estimated loss of Rs 4-5 lakh.

Krishna Naik, who was crafting Ganesh idols at the time, narrowly escaped injury by quickly running out of the house upon hearing the wall collapse. Fortunately, no one else was inside, preventing any injuries.

The Kundaim fire brigade promptly arrived at the scene, working diligently to pump out the rainwater that had accumulated around the house. Reports indicate that Naik's mud house lacks proper sewage facilities, leading to water accumulation and the weakening of the structure.
