Wife's murder: Husband gets 14-day remand in judicial custody

The accused husband Gaurav Kattiyar, arrested in the murder of  his wife at the Rajbagh beach on January 19 has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.

The Cuncolim police had arrested the 29-year old accused, who is working in the hospitality industry, after his wife Dikshah Gangawar’s body was found floating in the shallow waters at the Rajbagh beach on January 19. 

The husband-wife duo hails from the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The deceased wife had come down to Goa from Uttar Pradesh on January 16.

While the accused was evasive on the cause of her death at the Rajbagh beach, the post mortem examination later nailed the accused as the report stated that Dikshah was smothered to death in the shallow sandy waters.
