CANACONA
A second person committed suicide in Canacona within 24 hours when a 36-year-old housewife ended her life in the kitchen of her house in Agonda on Monday.
According to Canacona police, Bindya alias Meena Pagui is believed to have taken the extreme step when her two children were away in the school. Her husband is employed abroad.
The children had returned from school and they looked around for her, where they noticed her dead in the kitchen.
Their cries alerted neighbours and they rushed to the house and notified the police.
Canacona PI Harish Raut Dessai said a police team went to the site and after conducting the panchanama sent the body for an autopsy to Margao.
