Woman held on theft charges

OLD GOA

A woman hailing from Andhra Pradesh was arrested by the Old Goa police on charges of committing theft in the church premises of Old Goa on Monday.
According to the police, the accused woman was caught in the process of cutting a lady's bag in the church premises. She is suspected to be involved in many more such offences.
The police have registered an offence under Section 379 of IPC upon the complaint of Flouncy D’Souza, resident of Dharwad.
The police recovered the complainant's purse with cash of Rs 5,000 and Aadhar Card. Further investigation is in progress.
