Mormugao police on Thursday arrested Vinayak Rane (21), a history-sheeter in connection with the theft of a battery charger from an electric scooter.
Mormugao police cracked the case and recovered the stolen goods within 24 hours.
"We received a complaint from one Aman Singh on Wednesday that an unknown person damaged the digital screen of the scooter steering handle of complainant's Ather EV scooter worth Rs 15,000 and further committed theft of a battery charger amounting to Rs 19,500 which was parked in an open parking place.
Mormugao police swung in action and arrested the accused under Sections 379, and 447 of IPC " said the source. Mormugao police are carrying out further investigation in the case.
