PORVORIM: Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr (TSKK) at Porvorim will organise the ‘Kantaranchi Sanz’, an event highlighting the contributions of Konkani stage personalities and tiatrists, on August 24 from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
This event will consist of three sections. The first section consists of a screening the documentary, ‘Kantar Goa’ by Nalini Elvino de Souza highlighting the immense contributions of the legends of the Konkani stage, their Kantaram and its cultural significance and relevance to Goa.
In the second session, Leaxan Freitas will spin a specially curated list of rare Kantaram on the vinyl records.
In the third session, Cecille Rodrigues, founder of Goa’s Encore Academy of Performing Arts, with her fun and easy to dance choreography will inspire the audience to dance to the tune of the Konkani Kantaram.
