MARGAO
Nationalist Congress Party Goa Unit Chief Jose Philip D’Souza on Sunday said he would not back out from contesting the ensuing polls from Dabolim.
He said the NCP will draw up plan B in the event the Congress does not want to concede the seat to the party. “The Congress might have inducted Capt Viriato Fernandes into the party, but I am also contesting from Dabolim. If the Congress does not want to concede the Dabolim seat to the NCP, the party will take an appropriate call on the issue,” he said.
He added: “I want to make clear that I will not back out. I can tell you that the alliance can win as many as three of the four seats in Mormugao if Dabolim is left for the NCP.”
