Goa govt approves operational rules for Lokayukta Bill

The Goa government on Wednesday approved the rules foroperation of the Lokayukta Bill.

The required staff has also been approved and the place forsetup has been taken into possession.

The Old Hospital of Ribandar has been acquired for theLokayukat operation.

Five constables granted bail by High Court

Five constables attached to the anti-narcotics cell were granted conditional bail on Monday morning by the High Court after almost three months.

All five were arrested by the Central Bureau ofInvestigation (CBI) in May 2012 for allegedly planting drugs on Israeli drugdealer, David drahim alias Dudu.The constables, Mahadev Naik, Mahabaleshwar Sawant, SameerWarkhandekar, Naguesh Parsekar and Eaurmia Guraya, were part of team whichraided Dudu at Anjuna in 2010.
