Molestation case registered against teacher in Shiroda village

The Goa Police on Wednesday registered a case against a male teacher for molesting his student in a school at Shiroda village.

The Ponda police booked a case against Yogesh Khandeparkarafter the 14 year old girl filed a formal complaint against him. The complaintmentions that the accused molested her twice “ once in the classroom andanother on the ground during the “dahi handi” breaking contest. The girl hassaid that she was traumatized with the incident.

Ponda police inspector Jivba Dalvi said that the offenceunder section 554 of the Indian Penal Code and section 8 of Goa Children’s Acthas been booked against Khandeparkar. The girl who experienced her firstmolestation on August 11 did not muster courage to file a police complaint.Dalvi said that the girl was accompanied by an NGO who helped her in filing thecomplaint.
