Rahul Gandhi meets party officials in Goa

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Thursday held discussionswith party officials in Goa, after the party faced defeat in the recent statelegislative assembly elections. Gandhi who arrived in the morning was givenwarm welcome by Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Committee workers led by state chiefPratima Coutinho at Cortalim junction.

He held a meeting in the ICG with the office bearers of theparty including village panchayat representatives, block representatives,district and state committee representatives along with elected as well as lostcandidates of the Congress party.

All India Congress Committee General secretary Jagmeet SinghBrar, secretary P Sudhakar Reddy, Goa’s leader of opposition Pratapsingh Raneand former chief minister Digambar Kamat were also present for the meetings.

GPYC president Pratima Coutinho said “We are expecting himto take up this issue of mining in the centre.”
