The MLAs of two regional parties in the state outdid themain national parties by recording higher average increase of assets in thelast five years.
The lone Goa Vikas Party MLA who had contested in 2007assembly election has increased his average assets by 271% in 2012, while thethree Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party MLAs registered an increase by 226%.
Surprisingly three independent MLAs have recorded an averageincrease of assets by 294%.
Goa Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reformsreleased the analysis of criminal, financial and other details of candidatesand MLAs from Goa on Thursday.
The average asset increase recorded by Bharatiya JanataParty was 225%, while Indian National Congress recorded 122%. 12 BJP MLAs whocontested in 2007 were reelected in 2012, whereas only 8 MLAs of Congress cameback to power.

Amongst the 40 elected MLAs in the 13th Goa Assembly 37 MLAsare crorepatis, which includes 11 ministers in the present government.
The Leader of Opposition and Poriem MLA, Pratapsingh Ranetops the lists with over Rs 25 crore as his total assets while Sports Ministerand Cancona MLA, Ramesh Tawardkar ranks has least assets worth Rs 81 lakh.
