AAP's opportunity to preserve Colva lake

AAP members have been active in protests against politicians and destructive land sharks/real estate developers who were destroying lakes, fields, forests, hills, etc.  Because of the latter, quite a few Goans had decided to put some weight behind AAP and elected 2 as MLAs to the Goa Assembly, at the recent state election. Now as one AAP politician has been elected from Benaulim, it is a great opportunity for AAP to help Colva to preserve the lake/green area opposite the church.  There are numerous articles and studies done by eminent scientists and qualified organisations/individuals on the need to preserve the lake for posterity.  The lake with its valuable biodiversity offers the best protection for Colva (and also other villages). We are seeing at this very time, how haphazard planning has created horrific floods/water shortages in many places of the world, particularly in India and AAP now has a great opportunity now to lead differently with a sustainable/eco friendly mindset. With all the noise AAP has been making against destructive development,  now that AAP has 2 elected MLAs, particularly in Benaulim,  I hope to see AAP practicing what it preaches!
