Attacks on minorities: World is watching us

India is seeing increasing attacks on places of worship as highlighted in the latest US report  on religious freedom around the world, the document explicitly mentions that Indian officials are ignoring and even complicit in supporting such acts.

The US secretary of State has in no uncertain terms castigated India by saying that the world is monitoring recent developments in India including a rise in human rights abuses by government, police and prison officials.

The International Religious Freedom Report also pointed to laws restricting religious conversions, love jihad,  general discrimination in every field of activity and politicians making inflammatory public remarks or divisive social media posts about religious minorities.

International accolades for India are flying in thick and fast but of course we shall label all this as motivated propaganda by foreign forces inimical to India's interests and continue with our ostrich like attitude burying our heads in the sand pretending 'all ijj well'.

The way we are blaming Aurangzeb and Nehru for all ills befalling the country, we shall be entering the 14th century soon...if we are not there already; regress is progress in India.
