As a resident of Colva, I would like to highlight the following issues which I request the concerned authorities to address urgently: Garbage collection has to be improved to more than once a week and the garbage collectors have to be made to collect pampers as well. Food carts on the main road near the SAG ground are operated in unhygienic/dirty conditions and to me they are actually an eyesore. The SAG ground was set up after filling fields are now lying closed and unused, I am sure that if this is opened up to residents/tourists, it can be well used for games, running and fitness in general. There seems to be no check on how some Business outlets including shops, restaurants are getting rid of their garbage and in the morning one can see a lot of garbage including toxic plastics being burnt. There appears to be no regular direct bus from Colva to KTC bus stand; the transportation appears to now be worse with also the Colva-Margao direct sharing taxis off the roads.
