Covid: Let us not be complacent

It is heartening to note that Covid-19 cases have been on a decline over the past few weeks. This is not the time for the Government to be complacent but to put in place measures for increased testing and a full-fledged protocol for testing visitors who enter Goa. The economy has to revive, but not at the cost of risking the lives of Goans. Tourists vacationing in the State pay no heed to safety norms by breaking social-distancing rules and not wearing masks. With no testing protocols in place for visitors, Goa may be on the brink of witnessing a second wave.

More tourists good, but need for Covid caution

Happy days are here again! Goa is filled with much-needed tourists from other parts of India. We can see scenes of tourists standing in line for boat cruises, strolling, shopping, etc, all without any care. The masks, if at all worn, are seen around the necks like bow-ties or on the forehead for protection from the sun.
