In the past couple of days, celebrities have taken to social media to extend support to the ongoing farmers' protest in India. Pop singer Rihanna, climate change activist Greta Thunberg, US lawyer and activist Meena Harris, the niece of Vice-President Kamala Harris, made comments on social media drawing attention to the plight of farmers who have been on a month-long campaign against reforms. They might not able to distinguish between potatoes and sweet potatoes. They don't have any other interest other than popularising themselves amongst the largest populated country. Moreover, no foreign government supported farmers' agitation. The foreign celebrities are making statements about India's internal policies and happenings without knowing much about the country. Unfortunately, vested interest groups are trying to enforce their agenda on these protests and derail them. Advice from overseas celebrities is neither required nor appreciated. This must be dealt with as if trash and be swept aside. And these sinister outside forces have no morality to lecture on farmers' protest in our country. Our government is capable to deal with its internal problem.
