We are getting back to the silly season again with the approaching Lok Sabha elections and Modi leading the BJP in attacking by misinterpreting and misquoting his favourite target -- the Nehru-Gandhi family. He has started by taking Nehru & Indira Gandhi speeches from circa 1959 to claim that the father-daughter duo slighted Indians. If you draw an analogy to what Modi said in 2014, which is closer than 1955/9, that he would deposit Rs12 lakh, nothing has come of it. Second, if the speeches of Nehru & Indira Gandhi did not instill confidence in the people then would India have got to the position it was in 2014 when Modi came to power. We were a proud nation commended for the democratic values that were upheld and the development we had reached in all spheres of endeavour including Information Technology. So Modi has to be grateful to the leaders before him who made India a great nation. Modi could make it a greater nation. So a little balance, some manners, a little respect to your elders, these are the habits that Modi as a Prime Minister needs to acquire.
