PM Modi seems to be definitely losing the plot if his recent rally in Rajasthan is anything to go by. At the public meeting Modi attempted to ignite communal sentiments by referring to the minorities as 'ghuspaithiye' (infiltrators) and 'jinkey zyada bachhey hayn'. This is gross violation of the model code of conduct which prohibits parties and candidates from making casteist and religious statements to lure voters. He falsely claimed that the ex-PM Manmohan Singh had in a speech in 2006 said that the minorities have first right to India's resources and if the Congress comes to power it will seize Hindus' assets and give it to the Muslims. This is hate speech aimed at polarising the nation on communal lines and deflecting attention from price rise, unemployment, deteriorating law and order situation, annexation of Indian territory by China, and corruption amongst other things. Never has a man stooped so low in pursuit of power, the prestige of the post of the Prime Minister has been besmirched beyond salvage. It is every individual's duty to consign BJP to the dustbin of history if we want a bright future for the nation.
