Chief minister of Goa recently made a statement on 'mandir wapsi' and South Goa's MP has made issue of it by asking present government to concentrate on giving good governance and prevent corruption in the state. According to CM there is need to revive 60-year-old structures which are neglected in previous years. It is not just rebuilding of temples but bringing in back the Hindu culture and their sentiments towards their religion. Goa has witnessed governance prior to its statehood in the year 1987 and after achieving separate state. Good governance is one part of political field. Goa's CM has initiated a thought process which was neglected by us and devotees will support him in the rebuilding and restoration of temples of our state. Indian constitution under article 14 gives fundamental rights which includes right to worship and right to religion. The idea of rebuilding temples should be supported by Goans to keep our rich heritage and culture alive.
