The ruling BJP government in Karnataka has reportedly ordered a survey of all the authorised/unauthorised churches and their priests in the name of henceforth controlling/keeping a check on all types of forcible religious conversions in the State.
BJP leaders are known for wooing the Hindu voters by making such baseless allegations of forcible religious conversions against all the missionaries/minorities and distracting everyone from all its own major failures in our country.
According to the 2011 census, 79.8% of the population of India practices Hinduism, 14.2% adheres to Islam and just 2.3% adheres to Christianity. Now, how can the BJP leaders accuse the Christian community in particular which is having such a less population in our country of indulging in the so-called "forcible religious conversions" of Hindus?
Citizens have a fundamental right to choose, practice and to promote the religion of their own choice. And this right is fully guaranteed by Article 25-28 of the Constitution of India.
Our country is facing so many other important issues like poverty, unemployment, corruption, inflation etc but these leaders are seen shamelessly wasting their time and raising unimportant most stupid issues like forcible religious conversions, love jihad, cow slaughter etc for their own long term political survival.
