Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has again reiterated saying that the the reason why the government wants to bring an amendment to the comunidade law in the state then that's to protect the houses of native Goans and not to regularise any slums in Goa. Well, all that is fine but why Sawant is so much in a hurry to bring an amendment to the comunidade laws and that too during the fast approaching Lok Sabha elections? Well, it looks like that the government is somehow eyeing vote-bank politics by providing a window of hope to all the illegal migrant encroachers on comunidade land by bringing such an amendment to the comunidade laws in Goa. Because it is inwardly counting not just Goan encroachers but also all the migrants by considering them too as Goans under the domicile clause after bringing this amendment in Goa. I think that the government needs to come clear and say as to what it really wants to do by bringing this amendment to the comunidade laws in Goa. Whether it really wants to protect the houses of Goans or allow all the migrant encroachers on comunidade land to become automatic beneficiaries and to protect their illegal houses as well by mischievously bringing such an amendment to the comunidade laws in Goa.
