As a tax paying citizen, I strongly protest against the hikes just approved by the Goa government with respect to their salary, allowances and pensions for the MLAs.
Goa is already at a record debt and taxes/prices keep on increasing and to rub salt in the wounds. The governance, hygiene, cleanliness, environmental destruction, corruption etc are at the worst ever and surely all Goans will be aware of the same.
Why should the taxpayers now pay for such steep hikes to a not so popular group of people, whose priorities are to serve “Delhi”, their party high command and crony capitalists against the genuine interests of the State.
Almost all of the Goa’s MLA’s are crorepatis and wealth of many has exponentially increased and continuously increasing since they came to power. How much more money/allowances do they need now, by further burdening the already stretched Goan taxpayer?
