Penalise miscreants who vandalised Shivaji statue

The miscreants who vandalised the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue seek to disturb peace in the State.  The statue stands as a symbol of valour and historical pride. It is unfortunate that miscreants have done such a disgraceful act to the statue of founder of Maratha empire.  These incidents are planned and perpetrators should be given electric shock treatment. This is to create confusion and  chaos, thereby creating the cacophony that takes the common masses further from the truth. The government should undertake a heavy-handed approach towards  anti-social elements and religious fanatics.  The insult to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is an insult to Hindu society as well. Acts of some miscreants insulting the statue of Shivaji Maharaj is highly condemnable. Every Indian is proud of such personalities. Moreover statues are erected to pay respect to them, not to cause social unrest in their name.
