Release development grants to all constituencies

The CM belongs to the State and not just to the BJP alone. It has always been seen and known that the so-called developmental plans are a priority in the constituencies of MLAs belonging to the ruling party. All developmental projects are expedited to give a boost to the ruling legislator and the party. It, therefore, appears that development works will take place in constituencies where the party is in power. The opposition members are left to beg and plead for serious requirements in their constituencies which are delayed even towards the end of their term. To show results, legislators must show visible projects on the ground that will bolster their prospects in the next election. This is the malaise that afflicts our system. It also leads to poaching and defections for occupying positions of power and influence. Hence the CM must think about the welfare of the entire state and equally distribute resources to all constituencies without bias and favouritism. Govt appointments too are dished out to legislators of the ruling party. In order to rectify this anomaly, the government of India to some extent must release grants equally to all MPs so that they are not dependent on the largesse of the state CM. The development of Goa must not be confined to some islands of favouritism.
